The following examples both show finished curtains with vertical stripes
Most fabrics used to construct cubicle curtains are Panel Cut. The fabric is unrolled and cut to the desired cut height of the curtain, producing a panel. The number of panels used is determined by the desired curtain width. If more than one panel is needed, the panels are sewn together.
In the diagram to the left the fabric cut height is 84" and the cut width is 144". After the top/bottom hems and seams are sewn, this will produce a curtain with a finished height of 80" (if no mesh is used) and a finished width of approximately 135". If 20" mesh is required the curtain height would be 100"; 80" of fabric and 20" of mesh.
